Don’t plug a power strip into another power strip.  It seems obvious, but  it’s still a common mistake: it should be avoided at all costs.

Monitor the temperature.  A power strip may feel slightly warm, which is normal. But if it becomes hot, or even scalding hot,  unplug everything immediately.

Prioritize quality.  A  NF or CE certified power strip is a small investment to avoid major risks.  Avoid cheap models or those without a recognized brand.
