Ingredients

2 cloves of garlic, crushed

1 small piece of fresh ginger (about 2 cm), sliced

½ red onion, sliced (or ¼ if strong flavor is too much)

½ teaspoon turmeric powder (or a small piece of fresh turmeric root)

1 small stick of cinnamon

4–5 guava leaves (fresh or dried)

2 cups (500 ml) water

1 teaspoon honey (optional, to sweeten)
